Heroes Rescue Mission (HRM) is a mobile organization equipped with military professionals who are dedicated to the mission of creating community leaders through our program, Young Heroes Leadership Academy. The organization was originally founded in 2001, when Carl L. McCrary, Founder/CEO, responded to the urgent need to bring discipline and sound teaching to the lives of troubled youth at a group home in Whitewater, California.
In 2007, McCrary began recruiting youth in neighborhood parks to train them using a military style form of discipline and watched their lives transform to being youth with character and productive citizens. With consistent growth in youth participants, active parents, and volunteers, the cost to sustain the organization became overwhelming for McCrary, who was using his own funds.
Now that time has allowed for full development of program ideas, strategic networking, and partnerships, McCrary has reestablished the business with a more defined vision and mission. He, along with qualified military veterans, is excited and passionate about changing youth across America.
McCrary served this country for six years in the United States Navy as a Military Police Officer and an Aircraft Firefighter and Rescueman. His professional experience as a youth counselor/administrator, youth advocate, and behavior specialist at various youth oriented facilities makes him an expert at working with youth. He specializes in conflict resolution with emphasis on combating bullying (including cyber bullying), self-esteem issues, teen suicide, lack of respect for authority and property, and poor academics, while improving peer relations and family reunification.
HRM has partnered with a group of highly experienced and credentialed life coaches who facilitate various workshops for the youth (i.e., anger management, conflict resolution, etiquette, public speaking, self-esteem, etc.).
